The Route 2025

Route 2025 is this year’s itinerary and is part of the macro-route that has been proceeding since 2013 throughout the Mediterranean, Black Sea, Spanish, Portuguese and Moroccan Atlantic. This year’s route will be entirely in Greek waters, starting from the port of Kalamata, a city awarded the Mediterranean Flag in 2024, towards the north-east between the south-western Cyclades, Euboea, the Sporades, the Chalkidiki peninsula, to then reach Kavala, Tassos, Alexandroupouli almost to the border with Turkey, and then descend towards the south touching many islands including Agio Efstratios, Lymnos, Lesbos, Chiros and Ikaria. Seeing it, drawn with a finger on the map, it looks like the profile of a small winged dragon. But it doesn’t scare us, because after all, we have been sailing for 12 years, against all odds, in total autonomy, without sponsors and without political hats, with our hands kneaded only by the great intellectual and physical work that we have been doing for years, we have the dragon inside us.

The 2024 Route

Here is the 2024. The Rais commitee of Mediterranea, formed by first and second Captains, plotted an amazing course on the sea. Messolonghi, Itaka, Zakinthos, Pylos, Kalamata and then Kythira, Nauplio, Spetses… and so on, toward eastern side of mediterranea sea, closing the loop and touching all the islands, like beutiful necklace pearls. This is the 2024 Route of Progetto Mediterranea, a going and a returning, or a return and a new departure. This Route is Us. Since 2013.
