Progetto Mediterranea invites intellectuals and artists, philosophers and cultural operators on board, dialoguing with them in search of the voices and thought of the Mediterranean, a precious raw material to face this era of cultural, moral and civil crisis.
For years we have been looking for the best “heads” in the Mediterranean to ask them what they think of this era of decadence, what they see with their eyes, what solutions they have come up with. In fact, we believe that it is necessary to seek, listen to, verify the current thought of the Mediterranean in search of possible solutions to build a new assett of coexistence, cultural, relational, and therefore economic, political and social. The thought of the Mediterranean is precious, we must collect it and communicate it. In this way, moreover, we want to rediscover, support, spread the culture of the Mediterranean, of its coasts, of the countries that overlook it, connecting, censoring, telling stories, traditions, habits, cultures.
We cruise slowly in search of answers.
Our research method is the simplest of those devised by man: the Socratic dialogue, the meeting. We host Mediterranean women and men on board, to meet people like us, ask them what they know, what they see from their observation point, discuss with them, to listen to them and understand. We meet their thoughts and perspectives.
