Goals and Values

The objectives

The project aims to raise attention to the Mediterranean, create a speaking-platform from which to talk about the Mediterranean, connect different shores, distant countries, thought and action of the Mediterranean and about the Mediterranean, enclosing it in a metaphorically connected and homogeneous area through the symbolism of the sea voyage that connects and unites.

These are the main objectives of the expedition:

Nautical

We want to give visibility and promote the spread of nautical culture, one of the authentic roots of the Mediterranean culture.

Cultural

Searching of the “best heads” of the Mediterranean: writers, philosophers, journalists, historians, sociologists, economists… to ask them what they think of this Era of decadence, what they see from their eyes, what solutions they have come up with.

Scientific

Our boat is always available to scientists, researchers, students working in public and private entities, universities and laboratories about the main theme of the environment.

Social

Progetto Mediterranea, open to any stimulus and any proposal, aims to be a laboratory of coexistence where it is possible to develop “new models of life“, respectful of the environment and of our internal times and alternatives to the current rules of common life.
